8 Years in Power and Half the Country Given Away: Narek Karapetyan

My uncle has been arrested because he defended the church. This was stated by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia" party council, in an interview with 168.am.

“If there hadn’t been an attack on the church, we might have tried other methods to lead people off their wrong path, working in that direction. But we saw that they were going completely elsewhere. It was savagery, once again. How could one leave all of this and fight against the church?” commented Narek Karapetyan.

According to him, although the one attacking the church claimed to be against the leader, his subconscious reveals the truth—that the fight is against the church. “He knows he is fighting against the church, that church which has been the only functioning institution for this nation, which has brought us honorably and through hardships into the 21st century. They ruled for 8 years and gave away half the country, while the church brought us to the 21st century. Which is the more effective institution?” stated Narek Karapetyan.
