What Happened at Lavrov's Press Conference: Zakharova's Clarification

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has denied reports regarding the removal of a journalist who was obstructing Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference.

“Regarding the ‘removal of the correspondent’ from Lavrov's press conference in Delhi. No one was removed. After two requests addressed to the operator to lower the phone volume, it was suggested to set the device aside during the press conference. This was done. Everything then proceeded in a normal fashion,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

It should be recalled that during the conference, Lavrov had reprimanded the disrupting journalist twice and then appealed to security personnel, stating, “Guys, get him out of here.”
