They Can't Force Us to Make a Bad Deal: Rubio
U.S. President Donald Trump will not allow Iran to exploit the rise in gasoline prices due to tensions in the Middle East to push Washington into an unfavorable deal regarding the resolution of the conflict. This statement was made by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with NBC News.
“The President has made it clear that the Iranians cannot force us to make a bad deal by using our domestic politics against us,” said Rubio. He reminded that measures have already been taken in the U.S. to maintain gasoline prices, and “they will decrease.”
On May 12, Trump stated that he is not concerned about the financial situation of Americans due to the circumstances related to Iran, as he is trying to prevent a more serious problem: Iran creating nuclear weapons. Trump also threatened that if Iranian authorities “do not do what is right,” he would “finish the work.”
