Questions in the Air: Lavrov on Armenian-Russian Relations
Relations between Moscow and Yerevan will be discussed at the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit at the end of May in Kazakhstan, where Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be unable to attend, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in an interview with Russian media.
"There will be an opportunity to discuss Russia-Armenia relations at the end of the last week of May when the summit of the Eurasian Economic Supreme Council will take place in Kazakhstan," the minister said.
He clarified that Pashinyan had previously indicated that he was busy with election matters and would not be able to attend the meeting of EAEU leaders. "This, of course, would be regrettable, because it is a good opportunity to discuss the issues that are hanging in the air," Lavrov noted.
