Russia Responds to the Arrest of Andrei Yermak

According to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, the situation surrounding Andrei Yermak is not on the Russian agenda and will not affect the peace negotiation process. The press secretary of the Russian president stated that the matter is not under their consideration.

Peskov noted that if corruption is judicially confirmed, it will be solely an issue for Kyiv and the parties that provided the funds, meaning those whose money has been embezzled.

The Kremlin representative also added that they are not particularly monitoring this case, as it does not concern them.

It is worth recalling that the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has imposed a two-month detention on Andrei Yermak, the former head of the president's office, in connection with a money laundering case involving elite residential construction near Kyiv. A bail of 140 million hryvnias (approximately 3.2 million dollars) has also been set for him. If the bail is paid, Yermak has been obliged not to leave Kyiv, surrender his foreign passports, and refrain from contacting a range of individuals related to the case, including Timur Mindich, former Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Chernyshov, and fortune teller Veronika Anikeeva.
