Russia's presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has stated that the United States did not express any position regarding the recent test of the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile. According to the spokesperson, the Russian side adhered to international protocols by previously informing the American side about the impending launch through a special notification system.

Strategic Missile Forces Commander Sergey Karakaev presented the successful outcomes of the test to President Vladimir Putin. According to the military official's report, the new weapon system significantly surpasses the Voivod missiles in its technical specifications, including flight range and the ability to evade missile defense systems.

According to the Russian leader, Sarmat complexes will be put on combat duty by the end of the year. One of the key features of the missile is its ability to move on a suborbital trajectory, which can ensure a range of over 35,000 kilometers. Vladimir Putin noted that such characteristics greatly complicate its detection and interception by current defense systems.
