Everything Was Determined by Force: Lavrov Warns

The world is returning to the times when everything was determined by force and without regard for international law, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with RT India.

“We are returning to the days when everything was determined by force, when no one recognized any international law. U.S. President Donald Trump recently stated that he has no interest in international law,” the Russian diplomat said.

According to Lavrov, in today's world, actions are much more significant than declarations. He specifically pointed to the example of the United States, emphasizing that it is necessary to follow real actions rather than mere words, as the latter often do not correspond to actual policies.

As a constructive solution to the situation, the Russian Foreign Minister pointed to the BRICS format. He stated that the objective of this structure is to develop relationships based on mutual respect between states and to seek a balance of interests. Lavrov emphasized that this approach should not be perceived simply as an alternative but should become the main agenda to avoid antagonism and new conflicts.
