Video: Andrey Yermak Suspected of Corruption, Charges Filed
The former head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andrey Yermak, is suspected of being involved in the legalization of property obtained through criminal means as part of an organized group.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) disclosed that Yermak might have been a member of an organized group related to the legalization of 460 million hryvnias (approximately 10.5 million dollars) during elite construction in the vicinity of Kyiv.
The criminal suspicion is based on allegations of money laundering. According to NABU, the construction work was carried out in the 'Dynasty' cottage settlement. The investigation suggests that a group of businessmen and politicians, including Timur Mindich and former Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Chernyshov, reached an agreement to construct four private residences for personal use.
Each structure spans approximately 1,000 square meters, with a value of about 2 million dollars. The mansions are built on land totaling over 8 hectares, which, according to anti-corruption bodies, could exceed 6 million dollars in value.
Investigations have indicated that between 2021 and 2025, the owners and others involved legitimized nearly 9 million dollars through the construction.
Andrey Yermak has declined to provide explanations until the investigative procedures are concluded. 'I will not comment on anything right now; I will provide a commentary when the investigative actions are completed,' he stated in a video released by Suspilne.
When asked if he owns a house in the 'Dynasty' cooperative, the former head of the President's Office responded, 'I do not own any house; I have only one apartment and one car, which you see here.' Regarding inquiries about being the 'Surgeon' from the 'Mindich recordings,' he affirmed, 'My name is Andrey Yermak. I have no other name.'
