UAE's Planned Covert Strike Against Iran Revealed
The United Arab Emirates has conducted military operations against Iran during a period when efforts were being made to establish a ceasefire between the sides. According to data published by The Wall Street Journal, the oil refinery on Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf became a target for Abu Dhabi. Although the UAE has not officially confirmed this information, American sources indicate that the attack occurred in early April.
The report states that the United States secretly welcomed the UAE's involvement in the conflict. It is also emphasized that the Emirati armed forces are technologically advanced, equipped with modern fighter jets and reconnaissance systems of Western manufacture.
Furthermore, these events unfolded following President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire on April 8. Although negotiations held in Islamabad yielded no results, and starting April 13, the U.S. began blocking the Strait of Hormuz, the actions of the Emirates have further escalated tensions in the regional situation. The White House later rejected Tehran's proposals, labeling them unacceptable.
