Iran's President Appeals to Donald Trump

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has announced that Tehran does not rule out the possibility of negotiations with the United States. According to the country's leader, despite the existing distrust, the Islamic Republic is ready for diplomatic processes, provided that they are based on the principles of wisdom and mutual respect.

Pezeshkian emphasized the need to consolidate the achievements that the Iranian armed forces have made on the battlefield within the diplomatic arena. This statement follows U.S. President Donald Trump's position, who deemed Tehran's initial response regarding conflict resolution unacceptable but later considered the possibility of reaching an agreement on the cessation of military operations.

It should be noted that the conflict involving the U.S. and Israel began on February 28, and a two-week ceasefire was announced in early April. According to Iranian sources, over 3,300 Iranians have died due to American-Israeli strikes during the 40 days of military operations.

Despite the meeting held in Islamabad on April 11, the parties failed to reach a long-term resolution due to fundamental disagreements. Now, Tehran states that it does not consider Washington's unilateral extension of the ceasefire as a mandatory condition and will be guided solely by its own interests.
