Aliyev Warns Armenia: Be Vigilant, MP Says
A member of Azerbaijan's Milli Mejlis, Rizvan Nabiyev, has stated that Ilham Aliyev's remarks serve as a warning to the political circles in Armenia.
According to the MP, the statements made by Aliyev during a meeting with residents of Zangilan can be considered a strategic manifesto for the struggle for statehood and an indicator of new geopolitical realities.
Nabiyev emphasized that the messages are significant both in terms of timing and context. He noted that ahead of the parliamentary elections on June 7, Aliyev's words are a warning to Armenian revanchists and external forces, underscoring Azerbaijan's military strength and pragmatic policy.
Furthermore, Rizvan Nabiyev criticized France's policies, pointing out that Paris, having lost influence in Africa and the Middle East, is trying to penetrate the South Caucasus. “The Armenian government is now trying to replace the long-standing fortification role of the country by becoming a platform for French neocolonialism. Although the French president has stated that the South Caucasus should not become a 'battleground for empires,' he is pursuing a policy of militarization in Armenia. Be vigilant; there is still time and opportunity to learn lessons from history, to cease the search for sponsors, and to conduct a policy that corresponds to the new political realities created by Azerbaijan,” the MP concluded.
