Which political parties spent the most money ahead of the elections? CEC data released
According to the Central Electoral Commission, by May 8, more than 120 million drams had been circulated in the funds of the political forces participating in the parliamentary elections on June 7.
As per the data published by the CEC, by May 8, the electoral funds of political parties participating in the National Assembly elections recorded a total of 120 million 840 thousand drams. Out of this amount, 81 million 122 thousand 500 drams have already been spent, leaving a remainder of 39 million 717 thousand 500 drams.
The "Prosperous Armenia" party has the largest financial turnover, with its fund receiving 40 million drams, of which 28 million 52 thousand drams have been spent (remaining balance: 11 million 948 thousand drams). In second place is the "Civil Contract" party, which recorded 20 million drams in receipts, spending 16 million 900 thousand 400 drams (balance: 3 million 99 thousand 600 drams).
The fund of the "Democracy for the Homeland, Alliance of Defenders" party saw receipts amounting to 17 million 288 thousand drams while expenditures were 13 million 464 thousand drams. The "Enlightened Armenia" party recorded 15 million drams in income, with expenditures of 5 million 383 thousand drams (remaining balance: 9 million 617 thousand drams). Of the 11 million 800 thousand drams recorded for the "Armenia" party coalition, 11 million 50 thousand drams were spent, leaving a remainder of 750 thousand drams.
The "Republic" party's fund received 5 million drams, with expenditures of 2 million 783 thousand drams. As for the Armenian National Congress (ANC), it recorded 4 million 200 thousand drams and spent 2 million 922 thousand drams. The "New Forces" reformist party's income was 1 million 700 thousand drams, of which 500 thousand drams were spent.
At the same time, some political forces participating in the elections have not recorded any monetary movements in their funds. These include the "Strong Armenia" coalition, the Armenian Republican Party, "Wings of Unity", "National Democratic Pole", "Kochi National Renaissance and Awakening" party, the Christian Democratic Party, "Alliance" preliminary centrist party, "Democratic Union", and the "Democracy Law Order Discipline" party.
