Peskov Comments on Armenia-EU Summit Held in Yerevan

The Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, stated that official Yerevan has the sovereign right to organize meetings in the format of the "Armenia – EU" summit.

In an interview with Pavel Zarubin, the Kremlin spokesperson responded to a question about assessing the event held in Yerevan. Dmitry Peskov emphasized that what took place was not merely a "gathering," but a quite representative summit that represents a natural phenomenon.

The Kremlin representative also noted that the Republic of Armenia remains committed to the principle of multidirectional foreign policy. According to Peskov, convening similar summits, including meetings in the "Armenia – European Union" format, is an absolute sovereign right of the country and a natural process.
