France Has a New Mission: Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a program for ensuring the safety of the Strait of Hormuz, which will be implemented in coordination with Iran and without military deployment.
According to the President, a decision was made a few days ago to move the aircraft carrier 'Charles de Gaulle' closer to the region of the Strait of Hormuz from the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
Macron stated that a special mission has been established with the United Kingdom, joined by 50 countries and international organizations. The goal is to restore maritime communications in coordination with Iran and to prevent clashes with regional countries and the United States, as well as to secure transportation routes for food, fertilizers, oil, gas, and other goods.
The French leader urged the parties to maintain calm, act responsibly, and avoid statements that could escalate tensions. Meanwhile, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi emphasized that the presence of foreign ships would lead to the militarization of the strait and exacerbate the crisis.
