What Putin and Fico Discussed

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a conversation with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, addressed the Victory Day parade held in Moscow, noting that it took place "without excessive militarization, calmly and at a high level."

According to Putin, the event was significant not only for preserving historical memory but also as an international message. It should be mentioned that this year's Victory Parade was held in a reduced format. The procession through Red Square featured columns of participants from the "special military operation," as well as cadets from different branches of the Russian Armed Forces and high military educational institutions, along with drone system specialists. However, students from the Suvorov and Nakhimov military schools did not participate in the parade.

Due to the "operational situation," the mechanized column did not take part in the parade. Instead, the broadcast showcased the activities of various military branches participating in the "special military operation" or engaged in combat duty.
