Secret Document Reveals Russia's Interference in Armenian Elections: Blankspot
Blankspot, an independent journalism platform, has published a Russian-language document titled "Anti-Pashinyan Action Plan for 2026", detailing Moscow's actions for the elections scheduled on June 7. The Kremlin's key objective is to organize a "no-confidence referendum" against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, prevent the modernization of his political image, and reduce the government's influence on public opinion.
The document does not favor any specific opposition force but emphasizes tripling pro-Russian narratives on social media to increase daily views to three million. It aims to raise the number of pro-Russian opinion shapers from 15 to 40 by including activists in the opposition's electoral lists. The plan also includes "false flag" campaigns, systematic comments against government activists, and the creation of special groups for exclusive content.
According to Blankspot, this document was acquired through a hacking attack by an individual linked to Russian intelligence services, who is actively operating in Armenia. In December 2025, Yerevan appealed to the EU for support against hybrid threats, in response to which Kaja Kallas confirmed the presence of networks acting in Armenia similar to those in Moldova.
In April, Meta had already shut down 70 fake accounts in Armenia, while Russian officials accuse the Armenian civil society of anti-Russian propaganda. Experts warn that the Kremlin is using "social engineering" to incite polarization and distrust within society.
