Putin on Ending the War: He Sends a Message to Certain Countries
The ceremony dedicated to the victory in the Second World War took place in Russia's Red Square, attended by North Korean military personnel as well. Among those present was Russian President Vladimir Putin, along with leaders and officials from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
In his speech, President Putin reiterated that Russia would end the war by defeating Ukraine. He stated that not only Ukraine is fighting against Russia, but the entire NATO is involved as well. Putin expressed gratitude to those participating in the military operations.
The Russian president also met with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, who, however, was not present at the parade. Robert Fico is the only European leader who is in Moscow on May 9. Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Fico intends to convey a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Putin.
