Putin Accepted Trump's Proposal, Lavrov Says
Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted the proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump during their meeting in Alaska, and the future of negotiations now depends on the other side. This was announced by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov when responding to questions about the prospects for negotiations without U.S. participation.
“In August of last year in Alaska, President Putin accepted President Trump’s proposal. I put a full stop to that, as everything else depends on the other side,” said Lavrov in a comment to Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin.
