Armenia is the Main Market for Natural Stone Exports from Georgia
In the first quarter of 2026, exports of natural stone from Georgia amounted to $36,600, which is lower than the figures for the same period last year. This indicator is down from the first quarter of 2025, when 757 tons of products worth $52,500 were exported. This information has been reported by Georgian media.
According to the results of 2025, Armenia was the main destination for natural stone sales, with exports totaling $101,700 for 1,925 tons of goods. China held the second position with a volume of $72,600 and 647 tons, while India came in third with $70,400 and a volume of 251 tons. Smaller export volumes were directed to Italy ($8,500 / 54 tons), Azerbaijan ($2,800 / 23 tons), and Greece ($8,000 / 12.5 tons).
Changes in the geographical structure of exports have been recorded. In 2024, the largest market for Georgian natural stone was China, where 2,544 tons of products worth $333,000 were supplied. That year, Armenia ranked second with 1,407 tons of limestone valued at $63,000, followed by Italy, which imported 76 tons of stone worth $11,180.
