We Would Not Advise That: Zelensky on Upcoming Victory Parade in Moscow
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described the intention of some countries' representatives to travel to Moscow as inadequate. Zelensky stated that Ukraine had offered Russia a ceasefire starting from May 6 to ensure complete silence; however, instead of a peace proposal, the Russian side has responded only with new strikes and threats.
“Several countries have informed us that their representatives intend to be in Moscow. We would not advise that,” Zelensky said.
According to the president, the Russian side wants to receive permission to hold its own parade so that they can temporarily emerge safely into the public for a short time once a year, only to return to fighting and killing people afterwards.
Zelensky characterized the logic of the Russian leadership as strange and inadequate, adding that Russians are already talking about upcoming strikes after May 9.
