US Court Releases Letter Written by Epstein Before His Death

The U.S. federal court has made public a suicide letter written by financier Jeffrey Epstein, as reported by the New York Times.

According to the publication, this letter was found among the materials of Epstein's cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione's court case. The newspaper had filed a motion to disclose the document.

In the opening lines of the message, the author expresses dissatisfaction with the investigation, stating that he had been checked for months and nothing was found. This is followed by a statement regarding the opportunity to 'choose a time for goodbye,' and at the end of the letter, it is noted: 'It's not fun - it's not worth it.'

Epstein's former cellmate claims to have discovered the letter in a graphic novel in July 2019, at the time when Epstein had made his first suicide attempt. The NYT emphasizes that the authenticity of the letter has not been verified, as it was not mentioned in previously released documents related to Epstein's case. According to the publication, the U.S. Department of Justice was also not aware of the existence of this letter.

It is recalled that in 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was charged with trafficking minors and sexual exploitation. He died in jail that July, which was ruled a suicide by the investigation's conclusion.
