The Restraint Measure for the Relatives of the Catholicos Has Been Changed

The brother and nephew of the Supreme Patriarch of All Armenians have been released from house arrest by court decision.

According to Judge Gevorg Manukyan's ruling, the house arrest imposed on Gevorg and Hambardzum Nersisyan has been replaced with administrative supervision. They have been prohibited from contacting individuals involved in the case, as well as leaving the area of Vagarshapat’s Voskahat community.

It should be noted that the relatives of Garegin II were arrested in Vagarshapat on the anniversary of the Catholicos' enthronement. The basis for the process is the complaint of the Republican Party's candidate for mayor, Harutyun Mkrtchyan. The Nersisyan family is accused of obstructing propaganda and committing hooliganism.
