Patiently Waiting: Trump Issues Statement

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has made a statement indicating that he had a wonderful phone conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

He emphasized that he is giving the European Union time until July 4 to reach a trade agreement.

“I am giving the EU until July 4 to reach a trade agreement. I am patiently waiting for the EU to fulfill its obligations under the trade agreement. Otherwise, tariffs will increase significantly,” Trump wrote.
