It Is Known When Nikol Pashinyan Will Go on Pre-Election Vacation

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a meeting with President Vahagn Khachaturyan that he will be on vacation starting May 8th to participate in the pre-election campaign. The Prime Minister stated that the vacation will only be interrupted on May 28th for the execution of work duties related to a state holiday.

Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the stability of state institutions, the expression of citizens' free will, and the competition of political ideas. He expressed confidence that state structures will prevent illegal influences on the elections.

The Prime Minister also thanked the President for supporting the reforms, noting that it is now the turn of the public to assess the situation. President Vahagn Khachaturyan, expressing gratitude for the information, mentioned that, although the vacation of the Prime Minister and government members raises certain concerns, it is in accordance with the law. The President expressed confidence that the government has done its utmost to hold transparent elections.

He highlighted that the results of elections held after 2018 have not raised doubts, particularly pointing out the snap elections of 2021. Khachaturyan also touched upon economic achievements, noting changes in the distribution of public results, a decrease in inequality, and the inclusiveness of economic policies. As an example, the President mentioned the increase in housing construction volumes and mortgage programs.

He emphasized that no one should be above the law, and violations should be punished. In conclusion, the President wished success to the Prime Minister and all political forces that operate within the law, expressing hope that democracy will prevail.
