Investigation Launched Against Elon Musk and X Company

The Paris prosecutor's office has initiated a preliminary investigation against billionaire Elon Musk and his company, X. According to Le Monde, citing sources from the prosecutor's office, the process began after Musk failed to appear for a scheduled questioning on April 20.

Prior to this, the prosecutor's office had announced searches conducted at X's offices in France. These operations were attended by Europol and the French gendarmerie's cybercrime unit.

It is noted that this process is linked to an investigation launched in January 2025 against the social network, based on complaints received regarding its algorithms.
