Arrest Made for Assaulting Shengavit Municipality Employee, Ministry of Internal Affairs Reports

Thanks to operational measures taken by officers of the Shengavit division of the Community Police, one person has been identified and arrested, suspected of assaulting employees from the trade and advertising department of the Shengavit administrative district near the 'Hayreniq' cinema today, and committing hooliganism. This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan.

“Measures are being taken to identify other individuals involved in the hooliganism,” he noted.

Earlier, it was reported that during the dismantling of an illegally placed campaign banner in the Shengavit administrative district, employees of the district head were subjected to assault. One of them was hospitalized with a head injury. The city authorities stated that the incident is connected to the dismantling of a banner promoting the 'Prosperous Armenia' party that exceeded permissible limits, and law enforcement is already investigating the circumstances of the incident. This was communicated by the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Artyom Karapetyan.
