VIDEO: Risk of War Could Increase, Christine Grigoryan on Opposition Proposals

The head of the Foreign Intelligence Service has announced that the implementation of proposals by the "Armenia" bloc could lead to an increased risk of large-scale war.

During a session of the National Assembly, Christine Grigoryan responded to opposition MP Armenuhi Kyureghyan regarding the potential consequences of a change in government. She stated that if the "Armenia" bloc or any other force with similar approaches assumes power and fulfills its promises, the likelihood of a large-scale war would increase.

In response to a question from Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, Grigoryan clarified the situation. Rubinyan had pointed out that the bloc's representatives oppose limiting Armenia's territory to 29,743 square kilometers and placing the delimitation based on the Almaty Declaration, advocating for other principles, particularly ethnographic ones.

“Essentially, the statements cited by you indicate a dismantling of the architecture of peace and a return to conflict, along with all its consequences, including threats of attack,” emphasized Christine Grigoryan.
