United States President Donald Trump stated in an interview with reporters that Iran is “playing games.” According to Trump, they speak of him with great respect, but publicly deny the fact of communication with the president on television.

Nevertheless, he assured that the Tehran side has a desire to make a deal. Since February 28, the US and Israel have begun striking targets located in Iran, resulting in more than 3,000 casualties. On April 8, Washington and Tehran announced a two-week ceasefire. Subsequent negotiations in Islamabad yielded no results. Although there are no reports of a resumption of hostilities, the US has begun to encircle Iranian ports. Currently, mediating parties are making efforts to organize a new round of negotiations.
