Russia's Defense Ministry Makes 'Tough' Statement

On May 8 and 9, a ceasefire will be declared in connection with the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. Russia expects that the Ukrainian side will follow this example, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

“If Ukraine attempts to sabotage the Victory Day celebrations, the Russian Armed Forces will strike at the center of Kyiv,” the statement said.

It is worth recalling that earlier, Zelensky rejected the ceasefire proposal, stating, “We have no holidays to celebrate.”
