President of Montenegro Arrives in Yerevan

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, has arrived in the capital of Armenia. At the ‘Zvartnots’ airport, he was welcomed by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonian, as reported by the Armenpress correspondent.

Jakov Milatović has traveled to Yerevan to participate in the 8th Summit of the European Political Community. The summit, scheduled for May 4 in Yerevan, will be held under the theme “Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe.” The inaugural meeting of the European Political Community took place on October 6, 2022, in Prague. Subsequent events have been hosted by Chișinău, Granada, Oxfordshire, Budapest, Tirana, and Copenhagen.

The platform brings together leaders from around 50 European countries on the basis of equality and shared goals. The aim of the initiative is to promote political dialogue, as well as cooperation geared towards the security, stability, and prosperity of the continent. The summit provides leaders with the opportunity to exchange experiences and develop cooperation, while not replacing any existing organizations or processes.
