More than usual expected: Rainy May
In May, the monthly average air temperature across the entire republic is forecasted to remain within the climatic norm, while the amount of precipitation is expected to be above normal. This indicates that a not-so-cold but rainy May is ahead of us. This information is provided by the Deputy Director of the 'Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center' SNCO.
He notes that May is the most humid month of the year in the territory of Armenia, with precipitation mainly occurring in the evening hours and at night. 'Unlike April, the number of cold air incursions will significantly decrease. The air temperature during nighttime and daytime will be about 5-6 degrees higher than in April. The maximum temperature in the Ararat plain and Yerevan is expected to reach +30 degrees, which will be observed in the third decade of May,' says the Deputy Director of the 'Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center' SNCO.
