Daily Armed Ambushes Led to Arrest of Three Individuals in Vanadzor
The Criminal Police of Armenia's Lori region prevented a murder incident in the city of Vanadzor on April 26. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, through comprehensive operational-investigative measures, the police obtained factual information that a group of young residents from Vanadzor, due to hostile relations with a 36-year-old compatriot, had premeditated his murder in cooperation.
The suspects also prepared to commit armed robberies and residential burglaries. Reports indicate that after identifying the victim's residence, the young individuals had been ambushing his house armed with weapons and knives almost every day. They attempted to carry out their criminal intentions on March 22, but the plan was not executed successfully.
A criminal case was initiated on April 18 in the Lori Regional Investigative Department. As a result of the actions taken by the Criminal Police, three participants of the incident have been arrested, and one has been detained. Efforts are being made to locate another participant. The investigation is ongoing.
