Citizens Hospitalized with Intestinal Infection in Biurakan Released: Avanesyan

Eleven residents of the Biurakan community in Kotayk province, who were hospitalized due to an intestinal infectious disease, have been discharged from medical facilities. Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan reported during a press conference that the patients' health condition is assessed as satisfactory.

According to the minister, all of them have already been discharged, and there is currently no ongoing process. She also added that additional information will be provided to the public if necessary.

Earlier, the Biurakan municipal administration announced that recently, citizens had sought emergency assistance for symptoms including nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and high fever. Relevant epidemiological services were informed about the situation. Residents were advised to refrain from using drinking water or to boil it before consumption.

It should be noted that samples taken in connection with the reported cases revealed deviations in coliform bacteria levels. According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, biological samples have identified rotavirus, adenovirus, as well as enterhemorrhagic and enterotoxigenic coliform group pathogens.
