VIDEO. I Do Not See Practical Implementation of TRIP: Robert Kocharyan
The second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, believes that the implementation of TRIP is in question and could create serious problems in relations with Iran.
During the 'Big Politics' podcast, Robert Kocharyan, the candidate for Prime Minister from the 'Armenia' alliance, stated that under the current conditions, he does not see practical usage of TRIP. According to him, the only possible option is to expand this format by involving Russia, China, or a country perceived by Iran as a friendly state; otherwise, the process will be problematic.
The second President also emphasized that in the case of lift of sanctions against Iran and a comprehensive solution, the country’s territory would become the shortest and most convenient transit route to Europe. He stated that the China-Pakistan-Iran-Turkey-Europe route would bring about enormous changes on a global scale.
