VIDEO: Israel Continues Strikes on Lebanon
Israel has no intention of discussing a ceasefire with the Lebanese Hezbollah movement. This was stated by Israel's ambassador to the U.S., Yehiel Leiters, who noted that the organization continues its attacks and remains one of the main obstacles to peace between the two countries.
During a phone conversation on April 10, which involved Lebanon's ambassador to the U.S., Nada Hamadeh, and the head of the American diplomatic mission in Lebanon, Michel Issa, the parties agreed to begin formal peace negotiations on April 14. However, the issue of a ceasefire with Hezbollah was not included in the discussions.
According to Iranian media reports, Israel continues to carry out airstrikes on Lebanon, resulting in casualties and injuries. Reports indicate that the situation remains tense, and military operations have not ceased even on the eve of diplomatic processes.
