Video: Minister of Internal Affairs Clarifies When Taxis Will Not Be Fined
Today, Radio Aurora hosted the Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan. You can watch the entire interview on Radio Aurora's official pages.
The minister answered questions from radio listeners, one of which concerned taxis. Specifically, one citizen wrote: "Taxis are being ticketed for stopping in designated taxi areas, claiming they do not have a sign. But that same taxi pays taxes to the state."
"If corresponding evidence is presented that they were there for a specific order, meaning they provided service to our citizens, they will not be subject to state fines. If they have already been fined, they can appeal, and in that context, present relevant evidence that they were waiting at that moment to carry out the order; that act will definitely be annulled,” Sargsyan stated.
