Henrikh Mkhitaryan has made a heartfelt post reflecting on the death of Mircea Lucescu. The legendary Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu passed away at the age of 81. This was reported by Romanian journalist Emanuel Rosu on his X page.

In his social media post, Henrikh Mkhitaryan expressed his condolences regarding the coach's passing and highlighted Lucescu's significant role in his professional development and the start of his international career.

"Mister, you were one of my first coaches, the one who gave me the opportunity to grow and begin my international career. I will always be grateful to you for allowing me to live what I had dreamed of since childhood. Thank you for your guidance, trust, and for helping me become the player and person I am today. Football has lost a true gentleman and a genuine visionary of the game. Rest in peace, mister. You will always hold a very special place in my heart," wrote Mkhitaryan.

Lucescu is regarded as the oldest coach in the history of the Champions League and national teams. He won 35 trophies with the teams he coached.
