Russians Evacuated from Iran Have Departed from Armenia

The Russian Embassy in Armenia has announced that 175 Russian citizens evacuated from the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran have flown from Yerevan to Moscow on a special flight. According to a statement from the embassy's press service, these citizens, who arrived from Iran, left Yerevan for Moscow on Monday.

“On April 6, an additional 175 Russian citizens who had arrived in Armenia through the Nurduz/Agarak border checkpoint departed for Moscow from Yerevan via a special flight,” the statement said.

It is noted that due to the coordinated efforts of Russian diplomats and Armenian representatives, a total of 509 Russian citizens have returned to their homeland through Armenia since the start of US-Israeli aggression against Iran. “We express our deep gratitude to the authorities of the Republic of Armenia for their kindness and for the swift entry of employees of the ‘Rosatom’ state corporation,” the embassy stated.
