Pakistan Requests Trump to Extend Iran Deadline

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has written to President Donald Trump, sincerely requesting a two-week extension of the deadline given to Iran to allow for diplomatic efforts to take effect.

“We ask our Iranian brothers to open the Strait of Hormuz. We also call on all warring parties to observe a comprehensive ceasefire for two weeks, so diplomacy can reach a definitive end to the war in the interests of long-term peace and stability in the region,” he wrote.
