Inside Orion: Stunning Footage from Space to Earth as NASA Releases Artemis 2 Images
NASA has released photographs and videos from the Artemis 2 mission, captured directly from inside the Orion spacecraft. The mission commenced in early April 2026 and marks the first crewed flight to the Moon in over 50 years, following the Apollo missions. It is expected to last approximately 10 days, during which Orion will orbit the Moon and return to Earth.
The images released by the astronauts display a full view of Earth, from its polar regions to continents, including the northern lights. These shots were taken when the spacecraft had already exited Earth’s orbit and was heading towards the Moon.
Additionally, NASA has also organized live broadcasts of scenes from inside Orion, allowing viewers to follow the mission in real-time.
Artemis 2 serves as a crucial experimental phase aimed at future crewed lunar landings and is seen as a stepping stone for more ambitious Mars exploration plans.
