Ronaldo to Participate in World Cup
Portugual's national team and Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has fully recovered from a thigh injury and is prepared to participate in the World Cup scheduled for June-July in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, according to Marca.
The 41-year-old Portuguese player sustained the injury on February 28 during a match against Al-Faheya in the Saudi League, which ended with a score of 3-1. He was forced to leave the pitch towards the end of the game.
Due to the injury, he missed several league matches for Al Nassr, and last month he did not make the Portugal national team roster for the friendly matches against Mexico and the USA.
Now, Ronaldo is not only ready to assist Al Nassr in their title chase but also to compete in the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The Portugal national team is in Group K, where they will face the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uzbekistan, and Colombia.
This season, Ronaldo has scored 21 goals in 22 games in the Saudi Professional League. Throughout his career, he has scored a total of 965 goals.
