Community Land Sale to Be Conducted Solely Through Electronic Means
The Government of Armenia has adopted a decision in light of the amendments made to the Land Code and the need to enhance the legal framework derived from these changes. This decision takes into account the policy adopted by the Government, according to which the sale of properties owned by communities and the state will be conducted exclusively through an electronic bidding platform.
The proposed approach aims to ensure maximum transparency in the process, provide equal competitive conditions, and enhance public oversight. By employing an electronic system, it is possible to reduce the influence of human factors, cut administrative costs and timelines, ensure access to information for interested parties, and prevent potential abuses.
The decision stipulates that community-owned land plots will be sold solely through the electronic system.
