The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, has announced that the country’s armed forces will not participate in any potential ground operations against Iran in the Middle East. He emphasized that London does not intend to get involved in this conflict.
According to the Prime Minister, under the current circumstances, the UK is focusing exclusively on defensive measures to ensure the safety of its citizens and its interests in the region. He noted that British aviation is already engaged in defensive missions, also supporting allies.
Starmer also highlighted that his country continues to work towards restoring normal operations in the Strait of Hormuz, considering its strategic importance for international trade.
At the same time, the Prime Minister reaffirmed that the UK does not consider direct participation in the war and is not planning to engage in military operations in the region. “This is not our war, and we do not intend to get involved in it,” Starmer stated.
