Belarus Scores Early Goal Against Armenia in Friendly Match

The Belarus national team opened the scoring in the 8th minute from a corner kick in the friendly match against Armenia. The second half has now begun.

At the start of the Armenia – Belarus friendly match held at the Republican Stadium, a group of fans displayed a banner reading "Leave, let us have football," apparently directed at the leadership of the Football Federation of Armenia.

Before the friendly match against Belarus, Armenia's head coach Yeghishe Melikyan presented the award for "Best Player of the Year" to Edouard Spertsyan, the captain of the national team and a champion with FC Krasnodar. Spertsyan received the award for the 2025 season, having been recognized with 17 votes. In 2025, the 25-year-old scored 5 goals for the Armenian national team. Former captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan, now a midfielder for Inter, received 8 votes in the voting.

Edouard Spertsyan did not participate in the friendly match taking place in Yerevan due to injury. Instead, the captain's armband was worn by Kamo Hovhannisyan.
