Dates for the Summer Draft and Discharge in 2026 Revealed

The Ministry of Defense has introduced a draft for public discussion that outlines the organization and conduct of the summer draft for mandatory military service in 2026, including the bodies that will be formed within this framework and the measures to ensure the draft.

This information has been published on the e-draft website for legal acts. The draft will take place from May 5 to August 15, 2026, inclusive. Male citizens who turn 18 during this period, as well as those whose postponement from conscription expires by June 30, 2026, will be drafted.

Additionally, female citizens who submitted voluntary applications or male citizens who expressed a desire to serve will also be drafted within the framework of the summer draft until March 1, 2026. During the same period, until August 15, 2026, those who have completed mandatory or alternative military service within the legally established timeframe will be discharged.
