Tehran Rejects US Proposals

Tehran rejects US proposals regarding the cessation of the conflict. “Iran will end the war when it decides and when its conditions are met,” Press TV quoted the words of a high-ranking Iranian political and security official.

A source from Press TV noted that Washington is engaging in negotiations through various diplomatic channels but is presenting proposals that Tehran considers excessive and detached from reality. Earlier, Elias Hazrati, head of the Iranian government's information council, insisted that US President Donald Trump's claims about negotiating with Tehran are false.

“The enemy has achieved nothing; it has not been able to respond to global public opinion. They claim they are making peace, negotiating, and yesterday I had the opportunity to do so. This is absolutely wrong. <...> Trump is lying. He started the war halfway through the negotiation process, and this time he will not succeed,” he stated during a broadcast on Iranian state television.
