Lavrov Warns Araqchi About Possible War in the Caspian Sea

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed concern during a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araqchi regarding the potential spread of conflict with Iran to the Caspian Sea region.

“There is mutual concern regarding the dangerous escalation of conflict in the Caspian Sea region,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.

Lavrov also cautioned that attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, including Bushehr, pose “unacceptable risks” to Russian personnel and could have “catastrophic environmental consequences.”
