Araghchin Issues Demands to Great Britain
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchin, during a phone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Ivette Cooper, demanded that London refrain from supporting U.S. and Israeli actions against Tehran, according to RIA Novosti.
"Araghchin has demanded that British authorities abstain from any cooperation with the U.S. and the Zionist regime regarding military and media assistance," stated the Iranian Foreign Ministry's announcement.
Additionally, the Iranian Foreign Minister criticized Great Britain for providing bases to the U.S., emphasizing that such actions are viewed as complicity in the aggression being carried out against Tehran.
Regarding the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Middle East, Araghchin noted that it could be settled if attacks against Iran ceased, and the resolution of the conflict should be accompanied by guarantees that it would not recur.
Earlier, on March 2, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that London had accepted Washington's request to use its military bases to conduct strikes on missile depots in Iran. On March 7, the UK's Ministry of Defence confirmed that the U.S. had begun utilizing British bases in operations against Iran.
