Another Iranian Official Killed

The Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has announced that Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Ghaani was killed overnight as a result of an Israeli attack. This was reported by the Reuters news agency.

The Iranian side has yet to comment on this news. Katz noted that he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have authorized military personnel to kill any other senior Iranian official targeted, without the need for further confirmation.

It is worth recalling that on March 17, Iranian National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani was killed in an attack by American-Israeli forces. He is the highest-ranking official from Iran to fall victim to U.S.-Israeli attacks since the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on February 28.
