Arpine Sargsyan Provides Details on Gunfire Incident in Ajapnyak

There are currently around 20 individuals who are in the status of defendants regarding the gunfire incident that occurred in Ajapnyak. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Sargsyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.

“We have identified another 10 individuals and are already working with the partners of the Investigative Committee to ensure that the legal process concerning these individuals is as smooth as possible. We are also conducting extensive operational work to identify the main perpetrators. I am confident you know that these individuals have already been involved in the case as defendants, and there is an announced search for them. We are actively carrying out operational investigative measures to find everyone and legally assess their actions. At this moment, I would like to refrain from providing additional details considering the ongoing operational work,” she said.

It is recalled that on February 18, during the daytime in a residential area of Ajapnyak, a group of citizens had a confrontation which led to gunfire from a firearm, resulting in one death and six injuries. Criminal proceedings have been initiated against 17 individuals.
